I love sitting by campfire or fire pit and building a S’more “sandwich.” But that isn’t always possible so these little jars with layers of chocolate, graham cracker crumbs and marshmallows are a pretty good replica. They are a great make-ahead dessert or to take to a picnic or house party. Toast the marshmallows under the oven broiler, or I like to use my kitchen butane torch.
Makes four 8 ounce or eight 4 ounce canning jars
Ingredients
1 C. Heavy Whipping Cream
½ C. marshmallow fluff
½ t. vanilla extract
2 1.55 ounce milk chocolate bars
2 T. coconut oil
2 cups coarsely crushed graham cracker crumbs, about 10 sheets
4 T. melted butter, I prefer salted here
1 C. mini marshmallows
Preparation
In a medium bowl beat cream with marshmallow fluff with a mixer at medium speed for approximately 4 minutes or until medium peaks form. Add vanilla extract and continue beating for another minute.
Melt chocolate bars over a double boiler until melted and add in the coconut oil. Alternatively microwave per your units instructions.
Mix crackers and butter together until well coated.
Divide the cracker mixture between four 8 ounce or eight four ounce canning jars.
Divide the chocolate, then whipped mixture and the marshmallows.
Store until ready to brown the mallows under the broiler or with a kitchen butane torch.
NOTE
Only use kitchen butane.
